Alexa http://www.alexa.com reports visits to a site by millions Alexa toolbar users. Of course, it is not representative of all traffic, but surely provides most accurate traffic rank available. What is good for?

Alexa traffic rank shows:

1) if a site is a winner or not,
2) if as site is worth looking or not,
3) if a site is worth partnering with or not.

When purchasing advertising on website, you can easily screen claims from factual status of the site.

Alexa traffic rank helps decide if a website is good link partner for you. Why to make countless link exchange campaigns if you can find just few, but very good partners?

Anyone agree, traffic is online representative, symbol of money. So success of your website depends on good incoming links. You need to connect to river of traffic if you want success.

If you imagine all traffic available as a river, those hundreds of millions visitors, billions page views, then traffic rank is as level of connectedness to that river.

The smaller the number of Alexa traffic rank, the more visitors come to that site, and it means the more visitors it could bring to your site.

Through Alexa you can find good web sites that you couldn't find through conventional search engines.
