What is the Sandbox?

First, it must be noted that not everyone is convinced that there actually is a sandbox. Google certainly would never confirm or deny the existence of any filter or wrinkle in their algorithm, so the Google sandbox is nothing more than a theory based on the information we are able to see in their results.
