Lynn writes: This is what it seems to be, and needs no further info, really. It doesn't even have to be about your site's subject matter, just something you simply cannot resist adding. I was doing it, before I even knew what it was. I learned about Net Neutrality, and had to write an article about it (not knowing most already knew about it.) The web addy is included with Author Bio. It is, after all, simply an article (photo/video) that you have to publish. (Not a blog entry that gets old very quickly.) Ends up my article links to my site - the blog of teddy bears. Still getting me links, and from the most unexpected places.

Don't over analyze. Completely new topics aren't necessary. although "Obama" is great linkbait! lol It's as simple as it seems - write an article (or publish a photo or video) about something that caught your attention, making sure you give it your own personal spin (or the spin of the "writers" of your site. lol)

If you feel obliged to keep the subject matter on target with your site, that's not hard either. I aubscribe to "Yahoo News" for two words - "teddy" and "bear." Every day, I am e-mailed all articles relating to those two words (- sale). About once a month, I receive something worth sharing in my blog. On a rare occasion, it's interesting enough to make into a linkbait article. Maybe it doesn't seem that hard to me, since I'm already diving into the world of imagination, but, heck, doesn't everyone occasionally laugh at the absurdity of the news? Why not share the humor?

Roman writes: I would like to see a part two to this video or a more advanced approach to link baiting. Perhaps the components of link baiting, could be more expansive. I always wonder "where" in the blog or article to work in the web address or link to it, without totalling sounding like advertising.

Guy writes: This does seem like the best way to try and gain links. But your content needs to be really good to promote others to link to it. Really current topical subjects seem to work the best for this type of linkbaiting, so they really cause a stir in the blog and social bookmarking worlds!
